Victory Auto Wreckers, Eagle Man, and Samurai Sunday were the order of the day as Jason and I went back in time in our aftershow tonight.  If you're a child of Chicago and want to reminisce on these and some other awful ad campaigns, you should listen to our podcast.  And we give you a couple of other bad ads to go find on YouTube and laugh at.  As far as the football, we differ on five games on what looks like it's going to be an entertaining Sunday of football.  Maybe some clarity on this soupy league will reveal itself as we get ready for the Triple Gobble coming up on Thanksgiving.  Here are our picks for NFL Week 11:

Jason and I differ on six games this week as the soupy mix of mediocre teams yielded a Sunday in the NFL in which only one matchup featured two winning teams.  And no one thought the Saints or Bills would be this good at this stage.  But we're probably more interested in the Chargers-Jags game because Jay chose to lock in Jacksonville while I am going with Phil Rivers and the former San Diego Superchargers on a hunch that he'll pull one of those "I'm not finished yet" performances.  No matter what though, the soup promises to deliver some results tomorrow that will shock the system, because 2017, man.  Here are our picks for Week 10:

NFL 2017 Week #10

2017 Week #9

This is one of the more fascinating weeks in recent memory because of what Jason calls a "soft reboot."  Many teams are going through new QB situations this week, so the Broncos, Texans and Cardinals get their first glimpse at life with a new signal caller for better or for worse.  Throw the Panthers in there going with less weapons at WR on purpose, and the Eagles adding a RB to the mix, and you see plenty of change at the halfway mark of the season, making things even more goofy for those of us trying to make picks and make sense of it all.  I didn't think it possible for 2017 to get stranger in the NFL, but here we are.  And here are our picks for Week 9, where Jay and I disagree on five games, including one of our locks:

Our connection issues with BlogTalk Radio resulted in no aftershow tonight, so it's good I got the Monday night pick in before our live show cut off.  Because I haven't been able to be heard when I log in pre-show as host, I've had to log out as the host and log back in as a guest.  Problem was, there was no one on the host line once the live show ended, so BlogTalk Radio automatically killed the feed.  The more you know.  Here are our NFL Week 8 picks, where I go versus Jay on seven games:

Jay and I go heads up on ten games ATS this weekend, so much ground can be gained or lost by one of us.  A 5-5 split wouldn't be the least bit surprising.  In other news, I am so excited to watch games on Sunday like a normal person again.  I got a long-awaited schedule change at work and I no longer work Sundays.  Don't get me wrong: If you are looking for a host and the money's right, I'll be A-OK working weekends, but for this desk job I've had for six years here in Memphis, it was about damn time that I got to free up my Sundays.  Wife barely knows what I look like.  Here now, our Week 7 picks in the NFL:

The uncertainty surrounding Marcus Mariota's availability Monday night has resulted in the first game off the board ATS in a long time for us.  I mean, I searched all over the internet for a spread for this game and couldn't find anyone willing to give odds on the Colts-Titans matchup.  So we have to go with a pick-em situation, although I still made it a contingency play because that's how much I don't want to take Matt Cassel if he winds up the Tennessee QB.  Here are our Week 6 plays, which have Jason and me differing on seven games, and becomes eight if Cassel starts Monday:
