2019 Week #8

It's still a great feeling for me when we get feedback and interaction on our podcast.  Hell, it's unbelievable.  Here we are, two jamokes broadcasting a podcast that no one knows about, and people find us and decide to listen and call in.  We were visited by the world's biggest Steelers fan, Bryce in Brooklyn, who we had not heard from in over a year.  He brought the deep assessment while, as always, remaining true to his Steelers.  Didn't think I'd hear anyone refer to a Dolphins game as a must-win, but if you feel like Pittsburgh has a shot to compete this season, then yeah, you kinda have to beat Miami.  Here are this week's picks for Jason and me, where we disagree on five games, not counting the Thursday night "action."

NFL 2019 Week #8: The Seventh Sense

2019 Week #7

It was another fun podcast for our NFL Week 7 pick show.  Jay and I got to exert some frustration about the referee situation this season, specifically the game-altering calls in Green Bay vs. Detroit and the fact that bad calls are getting correctly challenged and not overturned.  It can be stomach-turning knowing that games and careers are being affected by these calls and some of them could be fixed if the replay officials would acknowledge what everyone is seeing.  As for our picks, for the second week in a row my most confident pick is not a spread, it's a number: Saints-Bears under 38½.  Jay and I will go heads-up on six games, and I invite you to pay no attention to my Lock of the Week as it's a last tip of the hat to my preseason Super Bowl pick before they completely shrivel up and die.  Here are our picks:

Week 2's Overreaction Theatre turned into a horror show in the NFL as a multitude of QBs got hurt or benched, setting up a Week 3 full of first-time starters and uncertainty.
