Our Picks For March Badness 2012

Once again, it's time to pick our brackets for March Madness!  This year's picks are made even more entertaining because of our minor little life distractions that made it difficult to watch a lot of college hoops.  I moved to another city and took a job working weekends, while Jason merely went through the experience of being with his wife as she was pregnant with their first child, who arrived on March 1.  Yep, we got all the angles covered for all your bracket needs!  Or not.  And yes, I have to make the post look weird again as I try to figure out how to fit the brackets onto the page big enough for humans to read.

We didn't discuss our picks at all, so Jay's selection of the Tar Heels will have to stand on its own.  But I can offer an explanation of why I'm still going with the Orange to win it all despite losing center Fab Melo to suspension right before the tourney begins:  I'm doing it because they had a great season overcoming distraction right from the jump, as they watched longtime assistant Bernie Fine have to leave the program over multiple child sex abuse allegations.  They circled the wagons, they fed off of the "Fuck everyone and their momma" attitude of their coach Jim Boeheim, and they beat almost everyone they played.  Getting over a setback is nothing new to Syracuse.  I'm picking them to do it six more times and win the title.  We'll see who's got the better bracket.  Let the games begin!
