Jay and I go against each other on eight picks Sunday, not counting the Miami win for me over the Jets on Saturday.  Similar to last week, we don't have a great deal of confidence in these picks, but it's been like that most of the year in this Season of Parity.  I have some "gettin' cute" selections where I believe in a team to cover the spread but not necessarily to win, while Jason is mostly giving big points with prohibitive favorites.  Here are our games for Week 15:

2016 Week #14

This may be a week that goes a long way towards me clinching the season before the playoffs even arrive.  Jason and I go against each other on ten picks, not counting my win Thursday night.  What's interesting is how many games we feel ambivalent about the pick.  Listening to the podcast, you can hear how many games one of us prefaces the pick by saying "I don't feel great about this one" or "I totally see your point but I'm going the other way."  It makes the bragging even more fun when one of us wins a chunk of games that way.  It's our way of acknowledging how much luck goes into what we do sometimes.  Here is the full slate for Week 14:

Jason's protests notwithstanding, it's actually a compelling week of football.  There are so many games where teams with lesser records are favorited over teams with better records.  It's a plethora of chances for squads who clearly aren't being trusted to show that they belong, and other squads who are being believed to prove that they're worth the investment.  I think those are informational games, because we can really learn something about those teams depending on if they compete or not.  Here are our picks for Week 13, where we battle over eight games:

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and now it's down to the last six weeks of the regular season in the NFL.  Jason and I took a long view into what the playoff picture may look like, and it's murky.  Some teams at the top of the league have obvious flaws that should trip them up, but it's anyone's guess who will step up in their void and make a long run towards the Super Bowl.  This slate of games could be anyone's guess as well.  We had a hard time feeling very confident in these picks, but we made them anyway.  We'll be going head to head on six games, not counting Jason's Steelers victory on Turkey Night.  Here's our selections for Week 12:

Jason and I have a seven-game head-to-head battle in this week's NFL action, and my lead is such that he's in trouble if I take a big chunk of these games from him.  My 14-game lead at this point of the season is very large, and if I extend close to 20, he's not going to be within shouting distance when the playoffs roll around.  I like the entertainment value of this slate of games because they're so close in the point spreads.  As Jay said on the podcast, it's basically a bunch of pick 'ems.  Here are our selections for Week 10:

It appears to be an interesting week of games this week in the NFL, and boy, could the league use it.  Much has been written and said about the low ratings across the board for the league this season, with reasoning being anything from the presidential race sucking the energy out of any other entertainment to terrible matchups to the possible start of a general decline of interest.  I tend to believe that compelling games will boost the numbers back up, but time will tell.  Here are our Week 8 picks, with 5 head-to-head games for Jay and me to battle:

This appears to be a week of reckoning early for Jay and me, as we go head-to-head on ten games, not counting my win on Thursday night.  Normally we split right down the middle when we are against each other on this many games, and that would suit me fine because it would protect my nine-game lead.  If Jason gets a big chunk of it back here, he's back in the mix for the rest of the season.  But if I take a chunk of games, he's down double digits and looking at a massive uphill climb.  Should be a compelling Sunday.  Here's our picks for Week 6:
