2016 Week #12

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and now it's down to the last six weeks of the regular season in the NFL.  Jason and I took a long view into what the playoff picture may look like, and it's murky.  Some teams at the top of the league have obvious flaws that should trip them up, but it's anyone's guess who will step up in their void and make a long run towards the Super Bowl.  This slate of games could be anyone's guess as well.  We had a hard time feeling very confident in these picks, but we made them anyway.  We'll be going head to head on six games, not counting Jason's Steelers victory on Turkey Night.  Here's our selections for Week 12:

2016 Week #11

I'm proud of our show for this week's football picks because in the aftershow, Jason and I managed to talk a little about Angry America and some politics without insulting each other, and that's progress.  In this season of gratitude and being thankful, we all really should take a deep breath and grab some perspective on what's really important in our lives, and Twitter and Facebook aren't necessary to do that.  Here are our picks for NFL Week 11, where Jason and I disagree on only four games, not counting his Thursday night win:

2016 Week #10

Jason and I have a seven-game head-to-head battle in this week's NFL action, and my lead is such that he's in trouble if I take a big chunk of these games from him.  My 14-game lead at this point of the season is very large, and if I extend close to 20, he's not going to be within shouting distance when the playoffs roll around.  I like the entertainment value of this slate of games because they're so close in the point spreads.  As Jay said on the podcast, it's basically a bunch of pick 'ems.  Here are our selections for Week 10:

2016 Week #9

This podcast episode had our picks for NFL Week 9 sandwiched in between Jason's recollections concerning his Chicago Cubs actually winning the World Series, and boy, did he have some recollections.  He brought the happy, poignant, emotional, angry, wondrous, and everything else, and he deserved to unload after so many years of being one of the many sadsack Cub fans wallowing in misery.  So if there was way too much baseball talk in place of football on this show, our apologies.  We'll get back to football on the next show.  Well, mostly football.  Here are our Sunday and Monday Week 9 selections, which see us head-to-head on six games, including both our Locks of the Week, and a contingency pick for Jay depending on Ben Rapelisberger returning or not for the Steelers:
