2017 Week #7

Jay and I go heads up on ten games ATS this weekend, so much ground can be gained or lost by one of us.  A 5-5 split wouldn't be the least bit surprising.  In other news, I am so excited to watch games on Sunday like a normal person again.  I got a long-awaited schedule change at work and I no longer work Sundays.  Don't get me wrong: If you are looking for a host and the money's right, I'll be A-OK working weekends, but for this desk job I've had for six years here in Memphis, it was about damn time that I got to free up my Sundays.  Wife barely knows what I look like.  Here now, our Week 7 picks in the NFL:

The uncertainty surrounding Marcus Mariota's availability Monday night has resulted in the first game off the board ATS in a long time for us.  I mean, I searched all over the internet for a spread for this game and couldn't find anyone willing to give odds on the Colts-Titans matchup.  So we have to go with a pick-em situation, although I still made it a contingency play because that's how much I don't want to take Matt Cassel if he winds up the Tennessee QB.  Here are our Week 6 plays, which have Jason and me differing on seven games, and becomes eight if Cassel starts Monday:

Jason and I differ on only four games this week, so the more interesting part of the podcast may be the freewheeling aftershow, where we got into school bus memories and bad Chicago Bears drafts.  I don't know how we got there, but there we were.  My Lock of the Week is already busted thanks to the Bears stinking out the joint in Green Bay, so Jay can tie me in locks if the Patriots can beat up the Panthers, despite Jay also taking out the legacy of Tom Brady during the aftershow.  It was quite the post-live show chat.  Here are our picks for Week 4 in the NFL:

Overreaction Theatre may have taken over the point spreads in this Week 2 in the NFL, but Jason and I tried hard not to let it affect our picks.  It feels like after a successful Week 1, we can get overconfident and not assess what bouncebacks and downfalls may happen in Week 2 and we get caught.  But by both being under .500 last week, maybe we'll see things a little clearer this time.  Here are our Week 2 games, where we do battle on seven picks, not including the Thursday nighter:
